Healthy Steak Tacos with Caesar Salad

I'm always looking for healthy meals that are quick and easy to make when I'm traveling. These steak tacos are one of my favorites because they don't take much preparation and you can put the whole meal together with just a skillet and a few ingredients.
The combination of steak, Caesar salad and a little sweet chili sauce actually goes together surprisingly well.
I like to eat healthy on these trips so I prefer to use low sodium and carb ingredients and healthy oils.

What You'll Need
Strip steak
Mini keto wraps
Ready-made Caesar salad
Sweet Baby Ray's Sugar Free Sweet Chili Sauce
A little spray avocado cooking oil
Low sodium spices & herbs
Cooking the Steak
Start by cutting the strip steak into smaller, bite-sized pieces. You can also cook the steak whole and slice it afterward, but I find cutting it up first makes it easier to build the tacos.

Heat a little oil in a skillet over medium-high to high heat. I use the avocado spray oil as I find it healthier and there is no oil to cleanup afterwards.
I do add a little water just to prevent the steak from burning or sticking to the skillet.
Add the steak and spread it out so the pieces have a chance to brown rather than just steam.
Season the steak and let it cook for a couple of minutes before stirring. Continue cooking for another few minutes, turning the pieces occasionally, until they're browned on the outside and cooked the way you like them.
The exact cooking time will depend on how thick you cut the steak and how you like it cooked. For smaller pieces, you're usually only looking at around 5–7 minutes total.
Once the steak is done, take it off the heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

Putting the Tacos Together
While the steak is cooking, get the Caesar salad ready.
Warm the mini keto wraps in the skillet for a few seconds on each side if you prefer them warm.
Put some of the Caesar salad in the middle of each wrap.
Add the steak on top.
Then finish it off with a little Sweet Baby Ray's Sugar Free Sweet Chili Sauce.
I wouldn't go too heavy with the sauce. A little gives the tacos a nice sweet and slightly spicy flavor without overpowering the steak and salad.
Sliced avocado also goes well with this meal.
Fold them up and you're ready to eat.
Simple & Healthy Food for the Road
What I like about these is that they don't really feel like a camp meal. You get a decent steak taco without needing a long list of ingredients or a bunch of preparation.
The mini wraps also make them easy to eat, which is always a plus when you're sitting around camp.
The Caesar salad gives you some crunch and a creamy dressing, while the sweet chili sauce adds a little sweetness and heat.
It's a pretty simple combination, but it works.
And like most of the meals I make on the road, there's plenty of room to change it up. Use a different steak seasoning, add some cheese, swap the Caesar salad for another slaw or salad, or use whatever sauce you happen to have with you.
Good steak, a few simple ingredients and one skillet. That's about as complicated as I want dinner to be when there's still a trail waiting outside.
